What are your earrings made of?

All my work is handmade from polymer clay. I also use other elements to add detail and effects such as acrylic paint, resin, glitter, mica powder, foil, soft pastels and sequins.

Are your earrings safe for nickel allergies?

All of my earrings are made using hypoallergenic materials. I only use stainless steel or 18k gold plated attachments.

I have a nickel allergy myself, and I find my work comfortable to wear without allergic reactions.

Are they heavy?

Polymer clay is naturally lightweight. It’s more like rubber than traditional clay - it’s very light and doesn’t shatter or crack.

Most of my earrings are light and comfortable to wear. A few larger designs are a little heavier. If you’re worried about how much they weigh, please feel free to contact me and I can use my electronic scale to give you an exact weight of the pair you want.

Where are you based?

I live in Mississauga, Ontario in Canada. It’s close to Toronto and you can find me at weirdo friendly markets around the GTA, Kitchener, Waterloo and as far as London, Peterborough or Barrie.

If you aren’t local to Southern Ontario, I ship worldwide. All of my prices are currently listed in Canadian dollars.

What sort of packaging do you use?

I do what I can to minimise plastic and use recyclable materials. My earrings come on card and are shipped in cardboard boxes, compostable bubble mailers or reused packaging from other orders.

Will you make me a custom order?

I don’t typically take on custom work, LittleBookWyrm is my side hustle and I don’t have much spare time for customs.

I sometimes make exceptions for close friends or repeat customers during quiet periods.

Who makes your earrings?

LittleBookWyrm is owned and operated by one person who handmakes everything. My name is Sophie!

I’m also supported by my husband, who built my set up for me and helps me to load in and load out at markets. .

How long does shipping take?

My items are not made to order - I only list things which are ready to ship. Deliveries take 2-3 days within Canada, and about 2 weeks for the USA and elsewhere.

Are your packages tracked?

I do not use tracking on my packages as standard, and the buyer assumes the risk for any lost items. I do not refund or replace lost items.

I do offer a shipping upgrade if you want your order tracked.
